Shuttlera is run by Reading Rackets's managers to organise club sessions. The club is responsible for your information. If you have a question or want something changed or deleted, ask any manager.
What we keep
- Your account: name, username, email, and your password (stored scrambled, so nobody can read it, not even managers).
- Your profile: photo, playing style, preferred side, rating visibility and an emergency contact, if you add them.
- Playing: the days you prefer, sessions you vote for, your place or waiting-list position, when you scan in at the venue, match scores and your rating.
- Memberships: which membership you choose each month and whether you've paid. Payments go by bank transfer, so we never see your card or bank details.
- Security: when you log in, and a log of sign-ins and manager actions (including IP addresses) to keep accounts safe.
Why
To run the club fairly: giving out places, making balanced teams, keeping track of memberships and attendance, and contacting you about sessions you're in. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Other members see your name, photo, which sessions you're in and match results. Your rating is only shown to others if you choose that on your profile.
- Managers see your details, attendance and payments so they can run the club. They can't see your password.
- Services we use: the site and database are hosted by Render (in Frankfurt, EU), and emails are sent through Google (Gmail). They store data for us and can't use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
While you're a member. If you leave, a manager can deactivate your account; ask and we'll delete it. Match results stay in other players' history, but without your details.
Your rights

- Correct your details on your profile, or ask a manager.
- Ask us to delete your account.
- If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
